Going Beyond Employees Achieving More© - 2nd Edition
For those raised in poverty or with limited education, getting a job is hard enough. Keeping it is even harder! With almost twenty years of research into the effects of poverty and its alleviation and over a decade of workforce development experience, The Way to Work Sustainable Workforce SOLUTIONS© created the GOING BEYOND Employees Achieving More© curriculum. This four module, sixteen class curriculum teaches the basic, essential skills that employers have identified as lacking in their low-moderate-income employees. The lack of essential skills causes employees to miss out on job growth and promotions and often causes them to lose employment, perpetuating the cycle of poverty.
Most workforce development curriculums are written from a middle-class point-of-view with middle class education and vocabulary expectations. With so many clients experiencing insufficient education backgrounds, The Way to Work is intentional about creating content that meets the needs of those raised in poverty where they are in their academic and employment journey.
